So after musing a lot and losing sleep of may be a whole month (or more 😛 ) I have completed reading The Dead Series written by Charlaine Harris. The plot is twined around Sookie (the telepath), Bill (the first lover cum the betrayer cum the true friend/lover till very end and yeah a vampire too) and at last Eric (the badass leader of the area with a soft heart for Sookie) oops and he is a vampire too. Out of 12 books Sookie was with Bill for the starting two novels. Third novel was how Bill stranded Sookie for another lady-vamp (sounding too complimentary) 😉 . Then after a lot of vampire-were-shifter-fairy drama Sookie finally starts dating Eric. Throughout the novel the writer has tried (and accomplished) to show how good Eric is beneath his tough exterior and how Sookie is a good influence and all. But at the end abruptly (and heart-wrenchingly) Sookie leaves both the vampire guys and marries Sam, the boss and also a shape-shifter and her best friend and the guy who never realized his love for Sookie until Bill asked her out. Over the 12 novel years Sam might have developed his feelings for Sookie but so has others and why to make a character who is badass to appear good if he is not supposed to be with the good at the end.
P.S. : I am not saying the ending is not good but this not something which seems well incorporated 😦 *sighs (not only my love life, but the characters I love their love life is also screwed).
P.P.S. : I love Eric ❤ ❤ ❤
